Can I claim my phone bill?
Phone and broadband running costs are claimable in their business proportion.
Phone and broadband are allowable running costs on the self-employment pages. One phone for everything is normal for a sole trader, and the claim is the business share of the bill: if roughly 60% of the use is work, 60% of the bill is the claim.
A phone or line used only for the business is claimable in full. Be ready to show how a split was arrived at; a month of typical usage is a reasonable basis.
Quick answers
Can I claim my whole phone bill?
Only if the phone is used solely for business. A mixed-use phone is claimed in its business proportion.
Is home broadband claimable?
The business share is, on the same principle as the phone: claim the proportion that reflects business use.
